For years, I have served as a useful source to those seeking inspiration, help, or advice. I finally decided to own that role and be intentional about it. I started writing about my passions, my thoughts, and curious wonderings about our world. I founded Beautiful Things in Humble Places with a mission to give others a taste of what goes on in my mind...at least for those brave enough to take a look, that is! Hello, Hello!! I'm Jennifer...and that handsome man in the picture with me, is my amazing husband, Daniel. I will be the main voice of this blog, the social media, and the {future} shop that will all be a part of Beautiful Things in Humble Places. Danny is my unwavering love & support to keeping me moving forward!

We have four amazing children!! Arlee is a Berea College Graduate who is finding her own way out in the world. Frost is taking classes at a local community college for his Biology Major. We also have Zach, 17, and Liam, 15, still at home finishing up their high school & looking forward to what their futures hold. All four of our children have been homeschooled, and all four of them will be homeschool graduates! With this being our 15th year of living our homeschooling lifestyle, we've only got 4 more years with Liam...we are in our "twilight years" of our homeschool experience...which is positively bittersweet.

It's been quite a rollercoaster of a year for me...for many, of course, actually. I've had my own medical ups & downs...emotional hiccups...physical slip-ups...spiritual shake-ups...and mental breakdowns...such is life, I guess...right?? {{Deep sigh}} It is A LOT! Life can be hard on us. On the flip-side of that coin, life can also be very good to us!! We have LOTS to be grateful for & have many blessings in our lives, for sure!!
I feel like I am finally finding my way closer & closer to that proverbial "light at the end of the tunnel"...which, consequentially, gives me more "good days" to be able to share my story with others. Extra time to be able to focus on the things that do make my heart happy. On these good days...I can truly feel that happiness...and I want to be able to put some of that out into the world when I can!
Between all the shenanigans that our family can get ourselves into...the craziness of our cute little canines...my love of encouraging others...& my struggles of when my days are a little darker than usual...there will be plenty of my life to share! I'd LOVE to have you all along for the journey!
